Wike’s G5 governors, party stalwarts form Integrity Group
The five governors who were angered by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in alliance with some party leaders, announced the formation of an integrity group within the party.
Governor Makinde disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Sunday before the group went to a closed session. Tgpbaze said that the G5 G5 led by Governor Nyesom Wike de Rivers and other party members were angry and called the PDP president in the country, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu. . . .
The governors of the group include Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia. Governor Makinde said that integrity is still the face of struggle within the PDP.
“We came here this morning to hold a meeting of integrity members in our party PDP. We are members of the G5, that is the five governors of the PDP. The G5 is all about team integrity. “You can see us, the five serving rulers, as the face of this struggle; the party leaders and elders you see here are the people behind these faces.
“We are in the South West to assess the situation within our party, assess where we are, and see what will happen in the next election,” he said. Former governors Ayo Fayose, Donald Duke, Jonah Jang, and Olusegun Mimiko, among other PDP leaders, were also present at the meeting.
