Wike explained that Obi was a former governor, therefore, it is important to support him in a reasonable manner during his presidential campaign in Rivers. On Friday, Wike promised to use weapons to support Obi’s presidential campaign.
The governor made the announcement after Obi ordered an airlift to Port Harcourt, the state capital. However, Wike warned Obi that the Labor Party will not win any government position in the state.
Speaking in Port Harcourt yesterday, Wike said PDP is the only party in Rivers state. He said: “I have no regrets that I will use logistics to support Obi, he was a former governor, and if he comes to campaign here, I will give him immediate support. “I will give him a car and security; I have to give it a quick thumbs up. I told him yesterday that his party will not get a job in Rivers, not in the House of Assembly; there is no other group in Rivers. The only party we have here is PDP, Rivers State Chapter.
