Travelers were kidnapped in Ette, Olamaboro Local Government Area of the State, according to a statement released on Thursday and signed by KENW Secretary Comrade Isaac Inah.

Inah stated that the tragic occurrence occurred on Tuesday night and pleaded with the Olamaboro Local Government Council to free the abducted people.

“The kidnappers are reportedly nine in total and all have AK-47s,” he stated. According to the information we have, the kidnappers set fire to the vigilantes’ motorcycle in an effort to demoralize the local vigilantes nearby. According to reports, the Divisional Police Officer and the Chairman of the Local Government Council were given access to this information (DPO).

“Olamaboro Local Government Council Chairman is requested by Kogi East Neighborhood Watch (KENW) to assist the security forces and vigilantes in ensuring the victims’ rescue.”

Inah added urged the Kogi State chairman of the Ofu Local Government Council to assume responsibility for protecting the Ochadamu axis to ensure travelers’ convenience and safety.
