Innocent Ihiovi, a pastor, has formally announced that he is running for governor of Kogi state. By tackling the myriad difficulties the state confronts, he hopes to bring about constructive change. His announcement puts an end to weeks of rumors regarding his political aspirations.

As the first candidate to run under the APC’s flag, Pastor Ihiovi appeals to party members and supporters to support him because he feels qualified and experienced to help Kogi state’s economy. He announced his manifesto, which aims to improve living for Kogi residents, during his declaration at his ward in the Okehi local government.

Supporters from other senatorial districts and local governments, as well as officials from each of Kogi central’s five local governments, all showed up in large numbers to the event.

In addition to thanking his supporters, Pastor Ihiovi told the populace that if elected governor, he would bring about constructive change. He picked up the paperwork he would need to run for governor in the APC’s primary election, which would take place in April 2023.

Pastor Ihiovi made it clear in a personal statement that he is not seeking the position of governor out of personal ambition, but rather out of a sincere conviction that he possesses the qualities of character, capacity, competence, commitment, knowledge, experience, and resolve required to successfully address the state’s problems.

He extends an invitation to the Kogi people to join him in his efforts to improve the state’s future.

He intends to visit the people in the coming days to share his vision for Kogi state in greater detail.
